CWFHA - Board Member Bios

President

Lisa M. Betthauser, MBA, is currently pursuing her Clinical Health Psychology Postdoctoral degree at the University of Colorado at Denver Health Sciences Center. Previously, Lisa graduated from the MBA Health Administration program at the University of Colorado at Denver in 2006. Lisa worked as Research Lab Manager and Research Coordinator for the Mental Illness Research Education and Clinical Center (MIRECC) at the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center since April 2007. She continues intermittent research collaboration with MIRECC during her postdoctoral program studying stress, resilience, the associated impact on health outcomes. Lisa also enjoys integrating fitness and mind/body activities into daily life. She teaches yoga and other group exercise classes in the community. If Lisa isn’t studying or teaching fitness, you can find her in the mountains hiking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing with her dog and boyfriend. This is her fifth year with CWFHA, and second year as President

Vice President

Kathy Ryan Morgan, BSBA holds the position of Business Manager of the Pediatric Pulmonary Section at The Children's Hospital. She has over 25 years of experience in the non-profit healthcare field – specifically in academia. Kathy has worked in both the research and hospital areas where she has managed employees, prepared and managed grants, operationalized new clinical programs and worked with physicians and senior management on new business initiatives.

Kathy has lived in Colorado for many years. Her family moved to Denver after living in Europe her first 13 years of life. She is fluent in German and still retains much of the French she learned while living in France. She received her BS in Business Management at Metropolitan State University.

Membership Chair

Janine Costantini, MS, CMPE is currently employed at The Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colorado as the Ambulatory Practice Director for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. She has been with TCH for over 7 years and has been in Dentistry for over 20. Janine graduated from the MS Health Administration Program at Regis University. She is currently serving as Co-President and Membership Chair of CWFHA. She has been with the organization for 3 years and has previously served on the board as Secretary. She is also a member of MGMA and is currently pursuing her ACMPE certification. In her spare time Janine enjoys hiking with her dogs, cycling, cross-county skiing and snowshoeing and traveling.

Newsletter Chair

Jeannie Miller has been the Quality Improvement Specialist for the Department of Psychiatry at The Children's Hospital since 2007. She has been employed at the Children's Hospital for nine years, serving as Program Coordinator for the Department of Case Management, and Intake Specialist for the Eating Disorders Treatment Program. She has worked for 20 years in various fields of healthcare and received her Master's in Health Services Administration from Regis University in Denver. Jeannie began her professional career as a City Planner for the city of Kansas City, Missouri. She is a member of the American Association of University Women, and the American College of Healthcare Executives, as well as serving as the newsletter chair for the Colorado Women’s Forum in Health Administration. She and her husband have 3 children, one grandchild, 2 dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys Yoga and Tai Chi, reading, playing golf and hiking with the family dogs.

Treasurer

Tracy King, a graduate of the MBA Health Administration program at the University of Colorado Denver, works at the University of Colorado Cancer Center as a Clinical Research Manager. Tracy received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. She worked in HIV clinical research for 8 years before switching to Cancer research in 2008. Tracy has a passion for international public health and hopes to work overseas sometime in the future. She has studied both in Ireland and Thailand and loves to travel. She is a Pennsylvania native, but loves living in Colorado for the hiking, skiing, and great weather. Tracy is an active Rockies fan of late, but will always consider herself a die-hard Yankee fan for life.

Student Liaison

Lizzy Chapman is currently a student of the MBA Health Administration Program at the University of Colorado at Denver. She is focusing on decision sciences and plans to earn her certification as a Quality Improvement Associate from the American Society for Quality in December. Elizabeth is also very active in raising awareness and educating the public about global healthcare innovations. She is an administrator for the Global Health Connections Lecture Series and looks forward to organizing lectures on medical tourism, the state of Haiti’s healthcare system and medical missions to Peru. In the spring, she plans to travel to Haiti to personally see and learn more about the health conditions in the poorest country of the western hemishpere. Elizabeth is also enjoys painting, yoga and traveling. She is very excited about the new schedule that CWFHA has planned for this year.

Honorary Board Member

Ellen E. Stewart, MSHA, JD, FHFMA, a partner with the law firm of Berenbaum Weinshienk & Eason, PC in Denver, received an MS in Health Administration from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1979 and a JD from the University of Denver College of Law in 1984. Prior to joining BWE in 2005, Ms. Stewart was a partner at the law firm of Gorsuch Kirgis LLP which she joined in 1986. Before entering private practice Ms Stewart was Associate General Counsel for PSL Healthcare Corporation. Ms. Stewart practices exclusively in the health care area.

Ms. Stewart is a past president of the Colorado Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and a frequent author of articles which appear in Healthcare Financial Management. She is involved in many healthcare and legal professional organizations. She is a frequent speaker both in Colorado and nationally, as well as a university instructor on legal issues affecting the health care industry.

Past President

Ashley Lemon has been a member of CWFHA for six years and is serving as this year's interim webmaster. Ashley received a BS degree from Creighton University in Health Administration and Public Policy, is a graduate of the UCHSC Health Administration MBA program and MS Management program. In 2005, she was awarded the CWFHA Outstanding Student Award and served in her first board position as Student Liaison. She has gone on to serve the CWFHA board as President and has enjoyed learning from such skilled professionals. In addition, she has remained an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the board of the Colorado Health Administration Alumni Association.

In the past, Ashley has worked in healthcare administration for the Children’s Hospital in Omaha, NE, The Children’s Hospital in Denver, and for Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center in Denver as well as in Strategic Planning for Centura Health. Currently, she is a consultant for HealthGrades based in Golden Colorado. When time permits, Ashley enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and making the most of all the activities Colorado has to offer. She is married and lives south of Denver.
