STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
In the Spring of 2010, The Colorado Women's Forum of Healthcare Administrators will award $1,500 to a female graduate student demonstrating commitment to enhancing the role of women in health care administration.
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

A graduate student in a health administration master degree program in Colorado with minimum grade point average of 3.0.

A member of CWFHA during the 2009-2010 program year.

Must be enrolled in an accredited graduate program.

Available to serve the CWFHA Leadership Board as Student Liaison for the 2010-2011 program year.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Application letter (max 3 pages) containing the information below:

Reason for applying for the scholarship.

Short-term and long-term career goals.

The role of the female health administrator (present and future).

Copy of school transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institution(s) attended.

Faculty letter of nomination. A copy is acceptable if the faculty member has already sent this letter separately.

Letter of nomination by CWFHA member (optional).

MENTORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The CWFHA Student Mentorship Program's goal is to provide an opportunity for student members to shadow up to three professionals to gain a perspective on the different health care careers and to gain/strengthen the student participation in CWFHA.
This program will give students the opportunity to meet alumni that are successful in their careers, learn about possible career paths and jobs, learn the Denver health care market from an insider's perspective, and get the opportunity to network in CWFHA. You will spend up to one half-day at three different sites. The pairing of this activity will depend on the student's interests and the schedules of the board and other members.
